ARRI Executive & Supervisory Board

Dr. Matthias Erb, born in 1966, was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of ARRI in Munich, Germany, on January 1, 2022. In this position, he focuses on the strategic alignment of the globally active film technology company and is responsible for all business units, among other areas. Matthias Erb has earned degrees in mechanical engineering and economics as well as a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at the Aachen University of Technology. After joining the Volkswagen Group in 2003, Matthias Erb held various management positions in Europe and abroad. He also spent several years as a lecturer for quality assurance at the University of Mainz in Germany while working in management at Audi. From 2014 to 2018, Matthias Erb was with the Volkswagen Group of America, initially as Executive Vice President Engineering & Planning in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and since 2016, as Chief Engineering Officer in Herndon, Virginia responsible for the North American region. Most recently, since 2018, he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Holistic User Experience at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Germany.

Dr. Bernd-Michael Brunck, born in 1959, was appointed member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ARRI in Munich, Germany, in June 2024. In this position, he is responsible for the Finance, Human Resources, IT, and Facility Management departments. Bernd-Michael Brunck already left his mark on ARRI as a member of the Supervisory Board from March 2020, until October 2022. With a doctorate in business administration, he has 25 years of management experience at the executive and divisional management level in both family-run enterprises and group-affiliated companies in the retail, construction supply, and electronics sectors. Before joining ARRI, Bernd-Michael Brunck held various positions including Commercial Director for the Richter+Frenzel Group from 2009 to 2017, Commercial Director and Division Controller at the Ariston Thermo Group from 2002 to 2009, and Commercial Director and Group Accounting Officer at the Diehl Group from 1991 to 1997.
