Modular, customizable layouts

Personalized control is at the heart of the Camera Companion experience. Choose a predefined layout or drag and drop control tiles into a custom layout that suits your way of working, giving you fingertip control of the parameters you need.

Control multiple cameras

You can control any number of cameras simultaneously with the app, and navigate and view them in different ways. With four cameras on a project, you might create an overview tab showing status and basic controls for all four, then have separate tabs for each camera with more control options.

Lens control

Camera Companion also offers simple remote control of focus, iris, and zoom (FIZ) with cforce lens motors, enabling quick adjustments in dynamic shooting environments.

Look-Library
Frame grabs

Trigger frame grabs at any time and view them in a gallery, for example to compare different looks from the ARRI Look Library. Frame grabs are saved automatically to the Files app on your iOS device and can be shared to other applications and devices, to Instagram, or to anyone, anywhere.

MIDI support

MIDI support for tactile control via physical input devices is especially useful to DITs. This opens up almost unlimited opportunities to control ARRI cameras with MIDI-enabled devices of any kind, further expanding the scope for individually customized camera control setups.

Network connectivity

Smaller productions, owner operators, or specialists such as drone companies may opt for a direct network where the cameras act as network hosts. Many other productions, however, will want to establish a set network where all the cameras being used on set are connected wirelessly to a router and act as network clients. In this type of interconnected multi-camera environment, the Camera Companion App is an indispensable and time-saving tool.
