ARRI Lounge, showrooms, and presentations

For ARRI, the dffb premises served as the company's temporary home during the 2018 Berlinale. The ARRI Lounge was open on several days and proved again to be the perfect meeting place for film professionals to view products, discuss eventful festival days, and enjoy pleasant evenings.

At the same time, interested parties were able to take full advantage of the opportunity to learn about ARRI's extensive portfolio of products and services for the motion picture industry in showrooms and at presentations.

For the first time in Germany, ARRI's new large-format camera system, including the ALEXA LF camera and ARRI Signature Prime lenses, was presented to the public. ARRI's wirelessly controllable LED spotlights of the SkyPanel series, including the new SkyPanel 360-C, could also be seen on site.

Both the new large-format camera system and ARRI´s lineup of LED spotlights were the subject of presentations. Frederic Merten, Product Manager Camera Systems, and Dennis Jackstien from ARRI Lighting explained all the technical details to the full dffb cinema

There was a great rush at a discussion round in the dffb cinema with the makers of the first German Netflix series "Dark" presented by ARRI. This was filmed with equipment provided by ARRI Rental and post-produced by ARRI Media. Showrunner Baran Bo Odar, Executive Producer Justyna Muesch (Wiedemann & Berg), gaffer Bjoern Susen, sound designer/supervising sound editor Alexander Wuertz, lead colorist Steffen Paul, and in-house producer Lola Knoblach (all three ARRI Media), moderated by Elfi Kerscher (ARRI) gave insights into the production and postproduction.

ARRI Media at the EFM

At the European Film Market (EFM) in Martin-Gropius-Bau, ARRI's world sales department presented its current portfolio. This includes the new family comedy "Help! I Shrunk My Parants," Andrei Konchalovsky's Oscar-shortlisted "Paradise," the Cannes entry "Directions," and the 3D-animated film "Ploey - You Never Fly Alone." Other titles include "Arthur & Clair," "Four Hands," and "Mr. Moll & the Chocolate Factory."

In the nearby Marriott Hotel, ARRI Media displayed their offerings for virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality - from the project idea to the finished application.
