ARRI is very happy to announce that as of March 1, 2023, Claypaky is officially part of the ARRI Group.

A former subsidiary of ams OSRAM, Claypaky is a developer and manufacturer of professional lighting systems. With this acquisition, two established, well-known companies have been brought together with the intention of becoming a leading lighting systems provider in the motion picture and live entertainment markets.

Founded in 1976 and based in Seriate (Bergamo, Northern Italy), Claypaky looks back at a long and successful history featuring a large number of original and innovative products, such as moving heads, static and effect lights, lighting accessories, and digital tools—many of which have won awards and been used on prestigious projects. The professional sectors using Claypaky light effects include theater, television, live events, trade fairs, theme parks, shops, conference centers, and many more.

Dr. Matthias Erb, Chairman of the Executive Board at ARRI, comments: “We have a long-term vision for ARRI and Claypaky. Our goal for the future is to maintain ARRI’s heritage of developing and delivering top-notch products and technologies to our core markets. We aim to achieve synergies in new products through the fusion of the two companies’ technologies. As an additional focus, we want to strengthen our business in other markets, especially entertainment.”

Claypaky has been embedded into the ARRI group with its brand, current setup, and structure of staff and locations.
